Incident with Student at W.D. & Mary Baker Smith Career Center

At approximately 10:30 this morning, a fight broke out between two male students. Administrators quickly intervened and the two students were disciplined according to LPSS behavior guidelines and sent home. One of the students, the aggressor in the fight, was subsequently seen near campus carrying a firearm. Career Center staff immediately informed the police. The student left the area without incident and was apprehended by police a short time later. The police found him to be in possession of a firearm.
