Broadmoor Lockdown

After the report of a domestic incident and a concern for the safety of the students, Broadmoor Elementary School and Edgar Martin Middle School students were put in lockdown this afternoon. School resource officers and the city police were dispatched to ascertain the safety of the students at these sites. Once all students and school sites were determined to be safe and secure the lockdown was ended. Afternoon bus service for Broadmoor students was delayed approximately ½ hour. Some middle school bus routes were also delayed because of the incident. Lafayette police are currently investigating the matter.
