LPSS Superintendent Appoints Acadian Middle School Principal and Adult Education Academic Specialist

Lafayette Parish School System Superintendent Dr. Donald Aguillard has appointed Linda Nance principal of Acadian Middle School and Virginia Rabalais Acting Adult Education Academic Specialist. Ms. Rabalais was appointed to the position in an acting capacity because none of the six applicants for the position is fully certified in Adult Ed.

Linda Nance earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Education Degree from the Middle Tennessee State
University. She has also earned more than 30 graduate credit hours from McNeese State University.

Ms. Nance was a teacher and coach for 21 Years. She has served as an Assistant Principal for 10 Years and as a Principal at Acadian Middle School for eight years.

Ms. Nance contemplated retiring this fall but, upon further reflection, she has decided to return to Acadian Middle School as Principal.

Virginia Rabalais earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Louisiana Tech University and a Master’s in Education from UL-Lafayette.

Ms. Rabalais served as an Elementary and Special Education teacher in Lafayette Parish for eight years. She has served in the role of Assistant Principal and in the role of Principal at Green T. Lindon Elementary School and Ernest Gallet Elementary School. She has served as a Program Supervisor for Special Education, a Math and Science Instructional Supervisor, and, most recently, as an Academic Officer.
