This weekend, Comeaux High Speech Team, along with teams from 1,000 schools from across the country, competed at the 2018 National Catholic Forensic League (NCFL) Grand National Speech Tournament in Washington, D.C. Comeaux High qualified 21 competitors, more than any other school in the state, and were competing against approximately 3,000 students. Each of the 10 Speech and Debate Competiton events starts with about 250 students. Comeaux Speech results are as follows.

As National Champions Anthony Rodriguez (a junior) and Jacob Foster and Roahon Leday (both sophomores) beat out over 2,500 of the best speech and debate students from across the country.
Comeaux High School was awarded the Speech School of Excellence Sweepstakes Award, which is given to the top 5 Speech Schools out of the over 1,000, and once again Comeaux was ranked 1st in Speech in the Country for the 2018 NCFL National Tournament.
