Today the Lafayette Parish School System published its first monthly electronic newsletter to showcase the achievements of students and teachers. “There are so many positive and interesting tidbits I hear about every day, both inside and outside of the classroom, “ says School Superintendent Dr. Donald Aguillard. “In this day of emails and smartphones, we decided an electronic newsletter is the best way for everyone in the system to see many of the good things we see.”
Since the eNewletter belongs to everyone within LPSS, Dr. Aguillard and school board members have asked for help naming it. Parents who have registered email addresses with LPSS, 6th grade students and above with email addresses, and LPSS employees received their first eNewsletter today with a link to offer suggestions of what the name should be. Dr. Aguillard says the monthly eNewsletter will also be archived and available to the public on the LPSS website at www.lpssonline.com/newsletter.
