The Center for Business & Information Technologies (CBIT) at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette launched the first CajunCodeFest innovation challenge in 2012. This event challenges participants to harness the power of data to find innovative solutions for real world problems. This year teams will build an innovative software app or tool addressing the opioid epidemic.
Middle and High School Competition Rules:
- Teams are limited to six student members and Team Mentor
- A designated school contact must register participating students from their school
- K-12 teams must have a chaperone with the group at all times
- Teams must work on site the majority of the time to qualify for judging
- All students and mentors must sign a participation agreement
Students must follow all school rules and guidelines
