Lafayette Public Schools will offer a voluntary jean day fundraising opportunity to teachers and students next Friday, September 8th, to raise money for Hurricane Harvey Victims. Elementary students would make a $1.00 donation, and middle school students, high school students, and faculty/staff would make a $2.00 donation in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans that day. Proceeds will be sent to the United Way and will benefit Harvey victims in the Greater Houston and East Texas areas.
Anyone in the community wishing to donate goods for Hurricane Harvey victims can drop off donations at the Lafayette Parish School System Central Office.
