Comeaux Speech and Debate Team Competes at the NCFL National Tournament

Last weekend, the Comeaux Speech and Debate Team competed at the National Catholic Forensic League (NCFL) 2017 National Tournament. At this tournament the top 3,000 students from over 550 schools across the country compete in 10 different events. Comeaux Speech had 7 students make the top 24 in their events out of all students across the nation:

Placing 22nd in Duo - Destiny Darby and Brooke Nykanen
Placing 19th in Oral Interpretation - Maggie Graham
Placing 10th in Duo- Paige Allbright and Colby Camp

Making it to the Final Round:
Placing 6th in Declamation- Rashon Leday
Placing 3rd in Oral Interpretation - Quest Broussard
Placing 2nd in Dramatic Performance - Tayland Ratliff
National Champion in Declamation -Tani Washington

Comeaux also received the School of Excellence Award and placed in the top 5 schools in the nation for the 3rd Consecutive Year.
