Lafayette Parish School System Superintendent Appoints New Administrators

Lafayette Parish School System Superintendent Dr. Donald Aguillard has appointed Renee White as principal of N.P. Moss Preparatory School, Monica Guillory as assistant principal at David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy, and Rose Marcel as assistant principal at J.W. Faulk Elementary School.

Ms. Guillory earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Southern University and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Guillory has 22 years of experience in education. She served as an elementary teacher in East Baton Rouge and Lafayette Parishes. She served as an elementary teacher at Live Oak Elementary School and an ELA and Social Studies teacher at Broussard Middle School. She served as assistant principal at N.P. Moss Preparatory School and Carencro Middle School. Her most recent position has been instructional strategist at Broussard Middle School. She has been recognized as teacher of the year at Glen Oaks Park Elementary School, Cedarcrest-Southmoor Elementary School, and Broussard Middle School and has been recognized as a teacher of the year finalist by the Lafayette Education Foundation.

Renee White has earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern University, a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from U.L. Lafayette, and a Master’s degree in Education from Nicholls State University. Ms. White has served as an elementary school teacher for Park Elementary School in New Iberia, a middle school math teacher at Anderson Middle School in New Iberia, an instructional coach at Jeanerette Middle School, assistant principal at Carencro High School, and principal of Alice Boucher Elementary School.

Rose Marcel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ms. Marcel has served as an elementary school teacher in St. Landry and Lafayette Parishes; she served as reading facilitator and instructional strategist at Alice Boucher Elementary School and as an ELA instructional content coach for the Lafayette Parish School System. She was twice named teacher of the year at her elementary schools in 2000 and 2006.
