Dr. Donald Aguillard made the following statement this morning in support of LPSS employees directly affected by this week’s terror attacks in Europe:
“In the name of the Lafayette Parish School System, I would like to extend our sympathy to our Foreign Associate Teachers from Europe, and especially from Belgium in view of the recent terror attacks in Brussels. I want to assure them that, as part of our LPSS family, they are in our thoughts in these difficult moments. Sadly, this is also a teachable moment where we can demonstrate for our students human solidarity and support through simple words and simple gestures. We are all united with our Foreign Associate Teachers. We thank them for teaching our students much more than simply language, and again offer them our sincere sympathy.”
