Lafayette Parish School System Schools of Choice Lottery Notifications

On Wednesday, February 24, during a test run of the Schools of Choice Lottery system, email notifications about Schools of Choice acceptance status were generated and sent out based on data generated by the test. The test was conducted on a developmental site at Smart Choice Technologies, the company who manages the Schools of Choice Lottery for the system in order to ensure that the system functions flawlessly during the actual lottery drawings. LPSS staff immediately notified everyone who received an email that the email was a test run and not an actual notification. The lottery for elementary and middle Schools of Choice will be held in the Board Room at Central Office on February 29, at 5:30 p.m. The high school lottery for Schools of Choice will be held on March 1, at 5:30 in the Federal Building at Central Office. All lottery results will be mailed by Friday, March 4.
