Parents Encouraged to Register for LPSS Summer Meal Program

In order to continue providing free meals to all children age 18 and younger throughout the summer, the district has created a Summer Saturday Program supported by Focus Foods. Registration for this new program is required for each child, even if families have participated in Focus Foods programs in the past.

To register, parents should click here to complete the online form. Meals will be distributed beginning this Saturday and continuing each Saturday through July 31, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Meal distribution sites:

  • Acadiana High School, 315 Rue du Bélier, Lafayette
  • Alice Boucher Elementary School, 400 Patterson Street, Lafayette
  • Live Oak Elementary School, 3020 N. University Avenue, Lafayette
  • Southside High School, 312 Almonaster Road, Youngsville

Families need only register once for the duration of the summer, even if they miss a week. Registration will remain open throughout the summer and on-site registration is also available. Each participant will receive a box containing breakfast, lunches, and milk for seven days. The meal boxes will include a combination of frozen and shelf-stable meals.
