Aguillard Named to 4-H State Hall of Fame

School board member and former superintendent Dr. Donald Aguillard has been selected to the Louisiana 4-H Hall of Fame. The formal state award presentation will occur in the fall at Camp Pollock.

Dr. Aguillard was selected for his leadership in promoting 4-H programs and remarks, “This is a high honor that was quite unexpected. I have always supported organizations that enrich students’ lives and encourage them to become well-rounded citizens.”

Previously Dr. Aguillard was recognized in 2019 by 4-H as their Superintendent of Schools Award recipient.

About 4-H and the Louisiana Hall of Fame
The 4-H program has existed for 100 years in Louisiana and is a  youth development and outreach program of the nation’s land-grant universities. It is operated in Louisiana by the LSU AgCenter to make a difference in the lives of young people, their families and their communities by helping them develop skills and knowledge that will assist them throughout their lives. Today the Louisiana 4-H program touches more than 200,000 young people each year through its various programs.

The Louisiana Hall of Fame was established in 2008 to recognize those whose dedication to 4-H inspired them to contribute time, resources, talents and energy to help 4-H youth achieve their goals.
