The Lafayette Parish School System would like to congratulate Paresh Kolluru, a senior at Lafayette High School for being recognized on November 8, 2021 as a state finalist for the U.S. Senate Scholarship Program. Six other young men were recognized as finalists in a virtual ceremony presided over by Ms. Marian Johnson, the Education Program Consultant at the Louisiana Department of Education. The young men recognized as finalists represent the best our state has to offer from private, public and parochial schools across the state.

From these six candidates, two delegates and two alternates will be announced in January by the Hearst Foundation.  The two delegates will receive a $10,000 college scholarship and will be invited to attend the Annual Washington Week in Washington, D.C. with delegates from across the country.
