Principal Elizabeth Harson, along with Office Depot general managers Harold Muller, Tom Davis, and Roy Touchet, announced today that Dr. Raphael A. Baranco Elementary School has been selected as a recipient of Office Depot’s 2022 Back to School Donation Drive. The school has been gifted over $26,000 to spend on campus and classroom supplies.
The surprise announcement was met with cheer and excitement during a morning meeting. The faculty and staff were informed that they will each have $100 to spend during a shopping event at the Office Depot Pinhook location. In addition, each employee was asked to complete a wish list of items that will benefit the classroom, the school, and the students.
“We want to thank our community and Office Depot for this incredible donation. The support our school and our students have received today is truly remarkable. We will be better equipped with supplies that will impact the needs of our students, enhance instruction, and provide our educators and staff with items to help make their job a little easier. We are truly grateful and can’t wait to go shopping!” states Harson.
Baranco Elementary School is one of three schools across the state to receive a donation this year. “Along with our regional leadership team, we are pleased to present this check to the faculty and staff of Baranco Elementary School today. Giving back to the community is part of our mission at Office Depot and it is through the generosity of 25 Office Depot store patrons that this donation is possible.
