Boil Water Advisory In Effect for Select Schools

News Release

All Schools Will Be Open Tomorrow

A boil water advisory has been issued for certain areas of the city including J. Wallace James
Elementary School, Carencro High School, Live Oak Elementary School, J.W. Faulk Elementary
School, David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy, Evangeline Elementary School, Acadian
Middle School, Northside High School, Truman Elementary School, Alice Boucher
Elementary School, Baranco Elementary School and Ossun Elementary School.

School is still in session tomorrow. All safety precautions are being followed to ensure students
and staff are safe. Meals will be served and students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water if
they can do so. Water refilling stations will be available and bottled water will be available for
those unable to bring one. The water system is operational and hand sanitizer will be provided,
so restrooms will be functioning as normal and the only issue is that water cannot be consumed
until the boil water advisory has been lifted.
