L.J. Alleman

L.J. Alleman Middle School is a place where academic learning and artistic expression work together to inspire confident, thoughtful, and creative students. With a strong fine arts focus, paired with a supportive academic environment, L.J. Alleman offers students a well-rounded middle school experience designed to nurture both achievement and self-expression.

Families of prospective students are invited to learn more at the upcoming open house on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 5:30 PM in the L.J. Alleman Cafetorium.


Fine Arts Programs that Inspire Creativity

At L.J. Alleman, students have the opportunity to participate in fine arts concentrations that allow them to build skills, explore new interests, and discover their voice. These programs are taught by dedicated, experienced educators who foster curiosity, discipline, and collaboration.

Fine arts offerings include:

  • Band: Performing on woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments while developing musical literacy and ensemble skills.
  • Chorus: Focusing on vocal technique, harmony, expression, and teamwork.
  • Dance: Building coordination, strength, and confidence through ballet, jazz, and contemporary movement.
  • Guitar: Learning chords, note reading, technique, and group performance.
  • Piano: Developing musicianship and keyboard skills for both solo and group settings.
  • Strings: Studying violin, viola, cello, or bass with attention to tone, technique, and ensemble playing.
  • Theatre: Gaining experience in acting, stagecraft, character development, and collaborative performance.
  • Visual Arts: Creating through drawing, painting, sculpture, and design, encouraging imagination and artistic problem-solving.

Arts and Academics Support Each Other

The culture of L.J. Alleman is one of creativity, academic excellence, and community. The school believes that the arts enrich academic success by strengthening focus, persistence, critical thinking, communication, and confidence. Students are encouraged to think deeply, express themselves authentically, and make meaningful connections across subject areas.

Families will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet faculty, hear from students, and learn how the fine arts and academics work together at L.J. Alleman.

Families wishing to enroll students in the Early College Academy should apply by December 17.
