The Lafayette Parish School System is proud to celebrate Comeaux High School and Head Coach Scott deNux, who were selected to receive new soccer equipment through the KATC Tools for Schools program. The donation included high-quality soccer balls and training gear that will support the team as they continue to compete and grow.
This recognition highlights the dedication of Coach deNux and the commitment of the Comeaux High Soccer Team to developing strong athletes, great teammates, and well-rounded student leaders. Quality equipment plays an important role in training, confidence, and preparation. This gift represents an investment in students who continue to push themselves on and off the field.
“When I got here last year, the balls were not of this quality and caliber. This is a morale boost to help them compete against the best schools,” Coach deNux shared with KATC. The support ensures that Comeaux players have the tools they need to sharpen their skills and strive for excellence this season.
At LPSS, athletics are an important part of school culture. Sports foster discipline, teamwork, resilience, and school pride. When community partners step in to support our students, it reinforces the message that their hard work matters and that there are people cheering them on.
We extend our appreciation to the KATC Tools for Schools program for recognizing Comeaux High and supporting student-athletes in Lafayette Parish. Congratulations to Coach deNux and the Spartans. We look forward to seeing the team continue to grow, compete, and represent their school with pride.
