The Lafayette Parish School System is proud to announce the appointment of Renee C. White as the new principal of Carencro High School. White, a 1995 graduate of Carencro High, returns to her alma mater to lead the school following the retirement of longtime principal Vanessa Knott.
White brings 26 years of experience in education, including 10 years in the classroom and 16 years in school leadership. She has served as a curriculum coordinator, assistant principal at Carencro High School, and principal at several campuses across the district, including Alice Boucher Elementary, N.P. Moss Preparatory, Ovey Comeaux High School, and the Edward J. Sam Accelerated School of Lafayette.
A graduate of Southern University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, White holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and elementary education, as well as a master’s degree in K-12 Educational Leadership from Nicholls State University. She is a dedicated educator and leader committed to student success.
“It is a privilege and an honor to be back home and serve the Carencro High School community! I am looking forward to working with all of the amazing stakeholders to continue to move our school in a positive direction!” said White.
