English 3
NOTE: The purpose of summer reading is to encourage a love of reading and to keep students involved in learning throughout the summer. Although these titles were chosen according to theme, relevance, age appropriateness, and reading level, they represent a varied range of Lexile levels and some novels may contain mature content. We suggest parents review the content of these novels with their children before making selections. Titles align with the Springboard curriculum adopted by our district.
Assignment for Regular Students: Although summer reading is not required for regular students, it is highly recommended.
Assignment for all Honors Students: Choose ONE from list A or B. Students should annotate every chapter of the text, using the example provided here. Annotations MUST be handwritten and submitted during the first week of class.
