2025-26 Teacher and Instructional Salary Increase and Incentive Pay Plan
The Lafayette Parish School Board has approved a 2025–26 salary increase that raises the starting teacher salary to $50,000, along with upward adjustments for all employees on the Instructional Salary Schedule. Additionally, the district is launching a new incentive pay plan to recognize educators who make a meaningful impact—both in the classroom and through extracurricular involvement.

Once your application is submitted and reviewed, an email will be sent to qualified applicants to begin the onboarding process. Your original driver's license and social security card must be presented when you arrive for your background check (NOTE: LA Wallet and copies are not accepted and will result in your appointment being rescheduled).
Once your onboarding is complete and your background check results are received, you will receive an email from Public School Works that contains mandatory online trainings. Once all required training steps are complete, you will be notified that you can begin accepting jobs in SmartFind Express.
