Lafayette Magnet Academies

LPSS MAGNET ACADEMIES: Established in 2002 as the Schools of Choice Program, the LPSS Magnet Academies provide students with innovative educational experiences aligned with their interests.

  • Diverse Offerings: Magnet academies offer specialized curricula in themes such as World Language Immersion, Arts, Technology, Health, STEM, and more.
  • Accessibility: It is available at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Students can apply for admission based on eligibility criteria. Select Academies comprise several pathways that allow students to follow a predetermined immersive curriculum at each level of schooling. 
  • Current Scope: LPSS offers 17 magnet academies across 18 schools, fostering student achievement while allowing them to focus on their talents and career goals.
