To set up a New Student account:
My School Bucks
At the drop down section – choose Lafayette Parish School System. DO NOT choose a school.
Once you have chosen Lafayette Parish School System you can access your child’s account and add money.
To add money to an existing MySchoolBucks account:
Login to your account
At the top left hand side of the screen – click on the drop down arrow and choose Lafayette Parish School System. You do not go into the school your child attends.
Once in Lafayette Parish School System, you will be able to add money to your child’s account.

Student Meal Account Refund Form
Meal Payment Guidelines:
In accordance with Louisiana Food and Nutrition Programs, Policies of Operation, Bulletin 1196, the student meal payment status is determined through the free and reduced Meal Benefit Application process. Those students not eligible for free benefits must pay for their meals at the prices established for full and reduced price student meals. Regulations do not prohibit a school system from withholding a meal from a paying student who does not have money to pay for the meal.
Lafayette Parish School System has a No Charge Policy for purchasing meals. As a participant in the National School Lunch Program, all schools in the district operate under a parish-wide plan to address no response and/or neglectful action to requests for payment of meals, prepayment of account balances, application for benefits, or providing meals from home.
Effective 8/15/10, Act 737 of the State Legislature requires school districts to follow specific procedures before a meal is withheld from a student for non-payment. Click here to review this new law in detail.
